Short version: some links on Hofus Rig are affiliate links. If you click one and buy, we may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra.
What that means
Hofus Rig takes part in affiliate programs run by brands and retailers. When you follow a link marked as an affiliate link and make a purchase, the seller may pay us a small percentage of the sale. The price you pay stays the same.
Our promises
- Commissions do not change our ratings or our verdicts. A product that pays well but disappoints still gets a clear warning.
- Every review includes drawbacks and a “who should skip it” section.
- We do not accept payment for positive reviews.
- If a brand sends a free sample, we say so on the page.
- Affiliate links carry rel=”sponsored” and rel=”nofollow” tags so search engines can tell them apart from editorial links.
Why we disclose
Disclosure is required by the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) endorsement guidelines and by advertising rules in other countries, such as the UK and Australia. It is also the honest thing to do. You should know how this site is funded before you trust a recommendation.
