Two kinds of verdicts
- Hands-on: we used the product ourselves. The page describes what we did.
- Research-based: we have not used the product. We compare specs, read verified owner reviews, check expert measurements where they exist, and weigh price and return policy. The page says it is research-based.
We never present a research-based verdict as personal testing.
What we check
- Specs against the manufacturer claims: sensor, polling rate, switch type, weight, latency, battery life.
- Patterns in owner reviews: recurring defects, build quality and customer support.
- Price history and whether a “sale” is a real discount.
- Warranty and return terms.
- How the product compares with direct alternatives at the same price.
What every review includes
- A quick verdict near the top.
- Clear drawbacks and dealbreakers.
- Who it is for and who should skip it.
- The date it was last checked.
